Plate with grooved rim. It has been mended from many fragments and was retrieved in 2000 during the Makrygiannis plot excavation in a foundation ritual pit beneath the floor of House Λ (foundation ritual ΝΜΑ 16).

It is ring-footed and the body walls slant inwards whereas the wide rim is almost flat with two deep grooves around its top. The floor is covered with brown-red glaze except for the rim and the pot’s exterior that remain in clay colour.

Plates of this type were produced specifically for ritual purposes. They symbolically substituted real serving vessels or contained offerings, such as dried fruits and nuts.
